The price-quality ratio is pretty bad, but in a way the options are few. With a larger amount of stuff, the pads really improve the Kånken's comfort of use significantly, but if you take the backpack off your back a lot and put it on your back, i.e. in city use or when traveling by plane, the pads are really awkward, because they detach from the plastic grooves and the straps can't be quickly and neatly arranged, at least not with a jacket.
