Product description

Great backcountry ski boot with special, anatomically designed footbed, Alpitex Waterproof Membrane and Thinsulate insulation! Leather and textile upper is durable and looks pretty darn good. Suiteble for Rottefella NNN BC bindings.

Alpinas own Alpitex Waterproof Membrane makes the boot water-resistant while keeping the boot well ventilated so it is pretty awesome boot to cover your feet on the spring time ski tours. Anatomic footbed will assure the perfect fit and even distribution of force. And finally, the insulation by Thinsulate. Thinsulate insulation system guarantees conditions for the feet that are twice as warm than other boots. The lining lets your feet breathe and regulate the natural physical feeling of the foot.

We recommend to choose one size bigger shoe size than you would normally do since the sizing of this boot is quite tight.

  • Toe box protection
  • Thinsulate insulation
  • Speed lacing system
  • Soft collar
  • Natural leather
  • Medium boot flex
  • Anatomic footbed
  • Alpitex membrane

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 445 x 400 x 150 mm.

I haven't had time to ski in these snow boots on many trips, but they lived up to expectations. In -25c my toes don't freeze, I wear a pair of merino socks and a wool sock. My normal size is 42-43, I took these in size 44, which was the right choice. Fits my feet, warm, sturdy and great for skiing.

Really warm. It is worth choosing one size larger than usual.

I've tested the boots twice now. I mostly skied in the swamp and short stretches in the forest (there hasn't been much snow this winter). I bought a size larger than usual and it was a good decision, it fits both thin and thicker socks. I have a wide foot, so I "adjust" the fit with the lacing and the lacing spreads so much that I tie the laces at the second to last fastenings, so that there is enough lace for the bow. But the most important thing - the boots are good otherwise, no sign of rubbing, for example. I wonder if two sizes larger would have been even better for a wide and wide last, a thicker wool sock would fit. Although I skied in -25 weather this time too, and my toes didn't get cold at all. That's a plus too. The rating is probably 4.5.

Sturdy and good mountain boots. The only downside is the strange lacing system.

This is my second pair of Alaska NNN BC boots. The first are still going strong after 6 years but I wanted another set so I could always keep a pair in the car during the winter in case some untracked snow beckoned from the roadside.
