Product description

Technical trekking trousers with built-in gaiter function. Part of the award-winning Keb series, now updated for even better performance, fit and durability. In warm weather, the legs can be zipped off to transform the trousers into a pair of shorts. The removed section has a drawcord at the calf that together with the boot hook transforms it into a gaiter that protects legs in brush-filled terrain. Made in stretch fabric and G-1000 Eco for freedom of movement, protection and durability.

Great outdoor pants. Use them al lot. Breathability is great. Dries surprisingly fast. However the durability of the stretch material is somewhat questionable - there was some pilling after just a few hikes in the forest. I had the same issue with the regular non zip off version of the Keb trousers.

Excellent pants for both terrain and everyday life. Kebi's cut suits me better than any other model or brand I've tried. The pants do not restrict movement in any way; squatting and going up steps almost feels like the pants are part of your own skin. Due to the stretchable pocket fabric, even the phone in the pocket does not seem to restrict movements. I was a bit skeptical at first about the usability of the leg zippers, but they are really easy to use and comfortable. The fabric in the side pockets, starting with the keys, stays well contained and even an object the size of a smartphone does not pull the fabric tight, restricting movement. One thigh pocket perfectly pulls a fabric bag and the so-called payment tools. for shopping on the return journey, the zippered one for important things in the countryside and/or when travelling. Next to the non-gaiter Kebies, the most functional pants I've ever owned. Even if Fjällärven produced similar pants with otherwise the same dimensions, but with a narrower waist, otherwise the unnecessary belt would be unnecessary.
