I've been using these for many years. They stretch and breathe in the right places and provide adequate protection. I recommend choosing the longer leg versions because the legs have hooks that can be attached to the laces of your shoes. They are more comfortable when there is room in the legs and provide better protection. The front pockets are made of stretch fabric, which wears out if you keep keys etc. sharp objects in the pocket.
