Fällkniven H1 with open leather sheath

The strong, straight and very handy knife dates its origin from the ancient times of classic art of North-Scandinavian knife-making. Due to this, it lacks a standard fingerguard but still the grip is very safe since the handle is ergonomically shaped and made of tacky Kraton rubber with a textured pattern. With a handle this shape, you should preferably be an experienced hunter or outdoorsman for safely handling such an advanced knife as the H1 Hunting Knife.

Sheaths
The sheath is made from black quality leather and is of open top dangler type, the most popular shape among hunters and fishermen in the north of Scandinavia. The sheath is so deep that it easily keeps the knife in place without snappers. To protect the tip from cutting thru the bottom of the sheath, we have added a inner plastic liner. For those who demand a water-proof concept, we're also offering a wellmade plastic sheath.

Steel
The blade is manufactured from a stainless high-end VG10 steel. We have used that steel for some years and are very satisfied with its strength and edge retention. It is heat treated and tempered to 59 HRC, an excellent combination with regard to strength and sharpness. Tests at the Solid Mechanic Laboratory of Lulea University of Technology show that this steel is actually among the strongest in the world.
