Savotta Vonka

Vonka is the Torrakko rifle backpack’s compact baby brother. Its design has been fully updated based on user feedback.

Vonka is an affordable, yet highly-efficient tool. It can hold everything you need without attracting any unwanted attention.

Thanks to its fixed rain-cover, Vonka meets the legal requirements for the transport of a firearm. It works both while hunting and on the way there. The robust and padded rifle compartment can accommodate a rifle with a larger scope as well. The whole package can be tightened sturdily with the compression straps of the bag, making carrying a firearm both comfortable and safe in any terrain.

The slim design of Vonka facilitates moving around in off-road conditions. The thinly padded shoulder straps make shooting while the backpack is on your back easy. The streamlined package has been designed to be as practical as possible. Vonka has no extra protruding or entangling parts.

Compartments
The bag’s main compartment (dimensions: 45 x 23 x 15 cm) is closed by tightening its drawstring opening which is then covered with a flap that can be secured in place with a buckled strap. The bag can be tightened into a snug package by using the compression straps on the sides.

Vonka’s rifle compartment (dimensions approximately 85 x 24 x 9 cm) is located between the bag and your back. It is open at the top and tapers towards the bottom for the barrel. The rifle can be secured tightly for carrying by using the compression straps of the backpack. The rifle compartment’s drawstring opening is secured with a 15 mm buckled strap. The rifle compartment has a reinforced lower end and its bottom tip is equipped with a metal ring for water drainage.

There is an additional divider pocket between the main bag and the rifle compartment running all the way from top to bottom which can hold an additional rifle or some other long item. The top end of the divider pocket features two 15 mm straps with MOLLE webbing. In addition to hunting, the Vonka is also perfect for any fishing trip as its rifle compartment and additional pocket can carry a considerable arsenal of fishing equipment.

When the gun compartment is empty, the divider pocket can be used to hold its lower end. This turns the Vonka into a regular backpack that won’t stand out in an urban environment.

The divider pocket is equipped with a rain cover that can be used to cover the butt of the firearm which would otherwise remain exposed from the rifle compartment. The rain cover is easy to reach and makes covering and hiding the butt of any firearm quick and easy. The rain cover is fastened around the firearm with a zipper and a buckle. With the rain cover in place, Vonka can hence be used as a legal firearm carrying case both in public places as well as in the car. You will no longer have to transport your firearm in a separate bag from which it is then transferred into a backpack. Vonka provides a safe and secure place for your rifle from your home into the forest, during hunting and back home again.

Other attachment points
Extra supplies that would not otherwise fit inside the backpack can be tied conveniently to the buckled compression straps on the sides. Keep rain capes, break clothing and other similar items attached to the sides of the backpack for easy access. The tightening rope of the bag’s main compartment runs into its bottom part via the front. Thanks to this, you can attach equipment to the front side of the bag as well.

Carrying system
The bag’s shoulder straps are lightly padded and will not pose problems or get in the way when you press the butt of your rifle against your shoulder. Thanks to them, you won’t need to take Vonka off during shooting. There is plenty of room for adjustment in both the shoulder straps and the hip belt. The back of backpack has been reinforced with an additional plastic sheet made of ethylene. The padding pillows on the backside of the bag make it comfortable. An empty space between the pillows allows air to circulate and keep your back dry.
