Mammut's liners are not only lightweight summer sleeping bags for use under scratchy blankets in alpine cabins or when sleeping under the stars in the tropical heat: when used to line a sleeping bag they protect it from dirt – saving it from having to be washed so much – and enhance the insulation of the sleeping bag by up to 6°C, depending on the fabric.
