Competitive FREESTYLE began in 1974 at the Canadian Frisbee™ Championships in Toronto Ontario, Canada. The first judged competition for pairs was created by Jim Kenner and Ken Westerfield who won the first event. Both Jim and Ken were promoters of early FREESTYLE competitions and founding members of the FREESTYLE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION. FREESTYLE continues to grow with major events in the U.S. and Europe.
