Salomonin S-Lab X Alp Carbon GTX ovat modernit, tekniset vuoristokengät jäykällä pohjalla. Kenkien valmistuksessa on hyödynnetty Salomonin vahvaa osaamista juoksukenkien ja monojen valmistuksesta. Kengissä on hyvä pito ja tukeva pohja sekä varsi. Toimivat erinomaisesti vaikeissakin maastoissa. Kenkään saa asennettua myös nousuraudat. Integroitu nilkan suojus estää veden, lumen ja roskien kulkeutumisen kenkään.
