Poles are great. The new strap system - not so much. I find it difficult to open and close.

Durable feel, easy to adjust once you get the hang of the idea. Reasonably light for aluminum rods. The long grip area allows you to easily adjust the "length" of the rod by changing the grip point, i.e. by adjusting the length at the wrist. I consider this a more usable solution during skiing than a telescopic solution, which would also add weight. The only minus is the slightly small sizes, but when you also buy the larger ones of the brand, you can get spare pieces of the smaller ones.

Good poles for cross-country skiing. The long handle is comfortable and the gripping position is quick to adjust, which allows for practical adjustment.
The only downside is the too small standard sums, which are thankfully cheap to upgrade to bigger ones. The small ones are then left as spare parts.

The rods have an expedition-like handle that was a bit questionable, but worked well. The strap of the rods is good as long as it can only be threaded into the correct position. This caused some annoyance.
The spike of the rod is too dull and too short. Sompa is small, but worked well with the spring hang.
The assumption is that the aluminum rod will last.
The late Exel Arctic is a benchmark, not the same as this rod.

I found the pole as simple and durable as possible, but light enough for long cross-country skiing hikes. Åsnes meets all requirements and the structure is sufficiently rigid without being heavy. Plus easy and quick strap adjustment and a long grip area. The sompa is suitable flexibly and more than, for example, the sompa on the fabric straps in the corresponding model of Start. This makes it especially easy when the steep hard snow surface rises in the fell.
A small minus is that the attachment of the somma is not universal in my opinion, so for a long trip it is worth ordering Åsnes' own spare one in advance.
4.5 stars rounded to five.

I used two of these poles in Greenland and the tip broke off one of them! Don't know how but I ordered another pair from Varuste.net, (not the supplier of the original pair I had). The whole transaction was so easy. Excellent communication from Varuste.net by e-mail, easy tracking of my parcel from a link in their e-mail and the poles arrived quickly from Finland to the UK, well packaged. Excellent service, I would be very confident about buying other equipment from Varuste.Net. :o)
The 103 mm sompa is too small. In February 2021, get the fog down to the ground and the rod sank deep. Norwegians should design a more decent accessory. The short and dull rod spike slips on the ice, this I fixed by chamfering the tip. If these shortcomings were remedied, I would even take the rods to a dead end project and give almost five stars.
