I upgraded to replace a broken FR945 so I knew what to expect. The biggest improvement was the touch screen and better resolution of the screen. What was surprising was that skiing lacked autopause, which was fixed by updating the software to the beta version.

I got back into sports watches after a ten year hiatus and wondered why I didn't do this earlier. Garmin is an absolutely great device for running, training immediately got a new kick.

I have been the owner of the 745 for three years and decide on an update. The 965 has a great AMOLED display and just way more features that the 745. If you can afford the 965 over the 2xx range its worth it.

I wanted to upgrade from a Fenix 6 Pro watch to an AMOLED screen. This watch has a good and clear touchscreen, golf functions and topoactive maps for trail running and navigation. Its features are largely the same as the previous Garmin watch, but now it has a good and clear screen and newer software. Works well. Loading Topoactive maps is a bit problematic and stuttering, but no other problems have been encountered.

The watch is light, versatile and easy to use. In Fr965, I especially like the race calendar, which creates a ready-made workout for that race. The watch has a lot of special functions that take time to find. Fortunately, Garmin's instructions online are clear.

After a good two weeks and seven runs, I can only praise. The battery lasts for two weeks, even though I've been running around a lot and running a lot.

I upgraded to this model from the Forerunner 945 and I am satisfied. The best aspects are the watch's excellent display and clear maps, as well as versatile training readiness measurement. The battery also seems to last well, but I'm not sure if we'll be surprised by the figures announced by Garmin.

Garmin Coach, reliable maps and support for numerous different sports make the 965 an almost perfect running, paddling and multi-sport watch. Bright and clear display and battery life of more than a week in normal use. The watch is light in size and relatively inconspicuous on the wrist.

I switched from Apple Watch to this and I don't regret it! The battery life is excellent and the display is clear and bright. At first, I wondered if this was too big for a woman with small wrists, but after a couple of weeks of use, I found that the size is just right, especially if you use navigation.

After a good couple of weeks of use, having switched from Polaris, it was learning with the features, because there are significantly more of them in garmin. Compared to Polar, significantly lower calories and steps during the day. You still need to get more data into the device to get the most out of the watch. All in all, a good purchase, especially when you learn to use all the features and data Good +Battery life + maps + multifaceted recovery monitoring +almost the same features as the Fenix 7 in a more modest size Bad -no Sapphire glass available - there is no certainty about the reliability of the wrist pulse yet

The product does what it promises - a really high-quality display, and the large amount of data offered is brought to the user in an informative format and enables the monitoring of health status and fitness development. I haven't had time to test the functionality of the maps yet.

The previous FR935 was in use for more than 5 years. Development has taken place in all areas, surprisingly a lot overall. The AMOLED screen is bigger and more impressive and enables e.g. better map functions and, depending on the settings, also better battery life. No "hard data" can be found, but it seems that GPS can be found faster than before.

The Garmin Forerunner 965 is the first Garmin watch for us. Been using it for approx. 1 month now and I'm positively surprised by both the watch and the functionality of the Garmin Connect and IQ apps (Android versions). In the past, I have used watches from Huawei and Polar for approx. 200-300 euros, in which the applications have not worked very well, at least on Android. It seems like a really good smartwatch for sports, especially running, and thanks to the map functions, also for other outdoor activities. In the gym, they even measure repetitions, but not always very accurately (on the other hand, I don't think you need a watch for that). Good and accurate screen, but I was surprised how easily it gets scratches from small bumps (it's worth getting a cover). I also use the Oura ring (Gen2) and it does measure sleep, awakenings and movements during sleep etc. more accurately than this FR965. I imagined that the measurement of sleep would be more accurate in a watch of this price range. The battery lasts surprisingly long - approx. 1 week when you go to the gym (3 x 1h) and run (approx. 1-3h/week).

Experiences after two weeks of use. The best feature is the ability to customize the clock with your phone. You can change training views in the middle of a training session. The clock has not yet received enough information for all data views. Some views received sufficient data surprisingly quickly. I was prepared to wait for a month of sleep tracking data, but it only required three or four nights. At first, the data seemed optimistic, but in the past two weeks they have come closer to reality. I expect them to become more specific over time. The battery lasted more than two weeks. This included about ten hours of training (heart rate + smart GPS). The screen is set to close. The screen turns on automatically when you turn your wrist. Works almost every time. If it doesn't work, you can touch the screen. Garmin Connect has good calorie tracking if you link your Garmin account with MyFitnessPal. I ended up with this over the Epix Pro because of the lower price and smaller size. I have been satisfied with the choice. I use a heart rate belt if I need more accurate heart rate monitoring. Epix Pro's new software features are coming in the next update. When cycling, I use the Garmin Edge 840 cycle meter. 840 records the exercise. 965 is in normal mode during exercise. I haven't noticed any problems with shared use. The basic information about the bike run will appear on the watch. Heart rate curves and GPS data have to be viewed from Garmin Connect or the 840.

It works so well that I use it all the time. Tells about the strain of the exercise and the need for recovery so that they correspond to your own feelings. Similarly, the description of the quality of sleep corresponds to one's own feelings. Easy to configure to suit my own sports, which I have: swimming, running, cycling and rowing. This product gives a new lease of life to training, and with this I am able to do measurably more effective, i.e. speed-improving exercises, when before I focused on long, endurance-improving exercises. The wristband does not have to be tight and still measures the heart rate. The mobile application works without any problems. Top product! I can recommend!

In every way an improvement over my old Garmin Fenix 5+, big and bright screen, light and fits on the wrist and features are enough. A screen protector is probably a good investment because, like many current smart watches, the screen is slightly above the border.

A light and comfortable watch to wear on the wrist, accurate GPS, good features such as round trip, which calculates the desired length of running without a phone, and this has been very useful. During the summer vacation, we have traveled and with the help of the watch we have found great running routes that we would not have been able to experience without the watch.

A very positive user experience as a long-term user of Garmin products. After using Felix 5 Plus for more than three years 24/7, I missed three things in a good product: functional track running measurement, better display and battery life. These and much more can be found at 965.

I’m using the watch for about 2 weeks now. Previously i had an AWS4. The metrics of the watch are accurate and overall the capabilities are great. The screen compared to AW is just ok, but compared to other sports watches is great! Only minor negative is that, at least for my watch, there is a tickling sound when it vibrates/ moves, like a button is moving. It’s not a dealbreaker, but for that amount of money I would prefer it to be perfect. When it comes to varuste, the process was supper quick, and letting you know how many pieces are available was a plus. The delivery was super quick, 1 and a half days to the other side of Europe is not bad 🙂

Guaranteed Forerunner quality. The watch has everything you could wish for and much more. You can easily update the functions and applications visible to you on the watch. In addition, the most used functions can be displayed on the watch face. The operating system is clearer and better than in the old Forerunner 735. The heart rate measurement and GPS work flawlessly and the map application is a nice plus. If you don't need a map application, the Forerunner 265 is also a good and cheaper option.

Very good impression after 2 weeks of use. The battery life is good and the screen works well both in bright and dark conditions. The display's night mode is also a good addition. Also the wrist flip / gesture functions work better than anywhere before, less errors. The included silicone strap is better than any previous one (Forerunner 235, Fenix 5, Venu 2). This is slightly stretchier + better friction and the watch stays better in the hand during exercise at the point where you put it. Garmin has made a lot of small tweaks to the user interface of this watch from earlier ones, and with these you can adjust the watch to suit you even better. Each screen can be edited to display exactly the information you need, and there are more different graphic presentation methods available. This larger 1.4" screen has also clearly helped here. I can't find anything to criticize.

A great improvement over previous Forerunner watches. The screen is now as bright and clear as can be, a light year away from the previous models. The features are also wider and the use is problem-free. And at least after a few weeks of use, the silicone strap of the watch has not yet caused an allergy to my wrist, the silicone strap of the previous Forerunner 945 broke the skin of my wrist. Fortunately, you can get Garmin's own Quickfit quick-change nylon or leather straps for this watch too, if this silicone causes problems for someone.

Based on just over 3 weeks, I've been satisfied and now that the HRV status started to show readings, the overall picture of what I'm doing started to become clearer - and it's been wrong apparently for years. Of course, the usage time is still short and the data will become more accurate over time, but already I have received feedback on what should be done differently and how to avoid constant self-exhaustion and give the bodies time to recover. It's certainly not worth taking it too seriously/slavishly, and I'm skeptical about e.g. dream information, but "temperance" is perhaps the word that has given me a new perspective on learning. While doing the run according to the suggestion of the day, I received prompts to slow down in my ear buds, which may have been exactly what I needed, in order not to go "as always before" every time and to do things more sensibly and not just by increasing the speed/volume. At first I guessed the size of the watch, but at least it seems to be quite suitable for my 17cm wrist. So far worked 24/7 without problems. I haven't tested the functionality of all the features yet, and four stars only because everything can always be improved ;)
