I've tested this on a few trips, and in terms of filtering quality, this is the number one device. The filter requires regular maintenance to keep the flow good. It's also a bit big to carry (when it doesn't get rumpled), and the silicones on the lower part, which are useful in themselves, protect the ring when putting it in the mesh pocket.

Just OK and apparently cleans the water. At least no diseases have come. I have to pre-filter the water if there is even a little bit of humus or accidents. But pre-filtering is not a problem, I use a neck buff. It's not enough for the whole team, but it's enough for my own use. Delivery was slow but I understand the reasons. I would give 5/5 if it wasn't so slow and laborious to filter, but I understand that too. I would buy again with this experience.

Makes water taste great.

Worked excellently on hikes in the south (in the north I use Befree). However, the filter part needs to be changed regularly (use becomes heavy over time), and I couldn't quite last the promised 150 liters. On the other hand, I have also taken water from saltier places with this, so humus must have accumulated in the filter more than average. Used for two summers. I have taken water from all kinds of clear bodies of water in central Finland, it neutralizes the taste well, and there have been no stomach upsets. I could recommend.

Good and easy to use based on one summer. Pushing through the water really requires strength and a 10-year-old child can't do it.
The filter dries a bit slowly and it's worth pressing through it even when it's empty, so that the rest of the water comes out from the inside of the filter.

A more compact version of Geopress. Purifies the water to make it drinkable. After several days of use, it starts to harden. After the trip, if you remember to filter through it two or three times with clean water and then blow it through with air a couple of times, it works again. Store the outer and inner bottle separately so the filter can dry in between. Of course, this is a bit heavy for a bottle, but it does overcome the need to pour large amounts of water into its container.

I used this on a three-day hike in the terrain of South Karelia. The weather was sunny and the water was flowing quite briskly. The grail cup worked as expected and gave fresh water to all four hikers. I didn't use this as a drinking bottle, I always carried it empty. After each use, it is necessary to filter a little clean water and then air two or three times, so that the power remains reasonable. Yes, people like to drink this for the joy of not having to take a large water supply with them. Will definitely go with you on the next trips!

Cleaned my water for two days from Päijänte and kept me energized. The downside is the occasional strange taste in the crowd. It would have been better if the volume of the UltraPress was 0.25-0.5 liters larger. The press has to be pressed quite strongly. Made in China minus. I am satisfied with the product.

Yes, Finnish lake water is good! The bottle is sturdy and feels comfortable to use. The outer and inner bottle can be easily detached from each other using the handle. The cap should be opened for at least half a turn open when filtering water, the filter easily collapses in a couple of ten seconds. About half a deciliter of unfiltered water remains at the bottom of the outer bottle.

This color of blue was much nicer than I perceived on the website. The size/body circumference was perfect for my small hands (glove size 6) and I got a good grip. This is a good compromise between the bigger Geopress and smaller Ultralight. My only problem is that the cap has no fastening to secure it to the bottle running the risk of losing it.

I love this Grayl Ultrapress water purifiers an absolute essential piece of gear that's a must have when going for camping and hiking.
Tested it for 150 liters, so the cartridge would be replaced. Cleaning up to the end was quick, the ring on the back is easy to press. It takes 10 seconds even if the very last ones are taken, in the beginning it really got to a few seconds per compression. Water from e.coli-contaminated wells that Metsähallitus found unusable, humus bog water standing directly in the heat, like water from a peat bog ditch, and of course water from streams, you don't know which critter has just gone upstream to do its needs and dragged some carcass into that stream to rot. Nothing but the press and directly towards the sound! I have never had a stomach growl from the water that has passed through this purifier. 5/5
