Commissioning was easy. Some problems with the battery/magazine fitting. As a rule, the hits registered well even in fluorescent light. The printable boards were easy to find. From the pages of Mantis. In the latest update, the exposure seems to go over. The shooting distance compensation table for different boards required a bit more searching.

Blackbeard meets all expectations, pleasantly surprised how much you can actually adjust the laser both vertically and horizontally. Incredibly fast, with a full battery it cannot be driven away. Seems to come with a dead battery, so the first charge takes the whole first night, but it lasts a long time.

Known for goodness, you won't be disappointed.

With the phone app, it is difficult to detect double shots and there are sometimes difficulties in identifying goals depending on the lighting. It didn't work at all under fluorescent light. The device itself is ingenious.

Especially suitable for taking a quick sight picture with the first shot. A small problem was that it did not reset quickly enough. Works better in one rifle than another.

A ringing game for dry training. It does nothing but reset the trigger and show the hit point, but nothing else is needed. Good tip.

A very useful tip. Sometimes it seems that the laser is ignored in the app or the app registers "ghost shots", otherwise good.

The product works but you have to know certain limitation. You will keep the pre-course and the break, but the reset will feel completly different as you can feel the Mantis reseting the trigger. Also you can't do intense long followup shots. The Mantis need to recharge itself, so you can do 10 quick follow up shot then you will feel the reset slowing down, and have to allow a pause of around 20-30 sec before the mantis is charged and ready to do another quick set.

A very well-functioning and easy-to-use cartridge cost saver.

I'm a IPSC shooter in PCC and sometimes in rifle devision. I use two almost identical guns. To decrease costs of training I use also 22LR conversion. Big amount of time take dry-runs at home. Before Mantis Blackbeard era, I did exercises and I only simulated pulling the trigger. I didn't get any feedback after 'shot'. I didn't know, I pull the trigger strong or far enough and where is the hit point. First days, doing the same drills with Mantis was challenging. I had so many Times the 'finger freeze' effect and I tansited between targets to early. In my opiniom, the reset trigger with Mantis and the trainer itself is a game changer for home training. If you can't visit your range everyday and utilised bucket of ammo, that's the solution to you. It could be cheaper and quality of assembly also could be a bit better, but list of advateges is way more longer than dissadventages.

Very good device with built-in laser. The device comes with a code for laser academy exercises. For best use, use a MantisX device alongside this. This will give you feedback on the trigger event itself and the Laser Academy will show the hits. Best for basic shooting practice and trying out different positions. This is not a substitute for proper shooting but brings feedback and motivation appropriately to cold training. The Mantis Laser Academy can also be used with a gun if you purchase a laser cartridge suitable for the gun.
