This is not a drop-in trigger kit that you can swap with your trigger. This is not a modification to your existing trigger. This is a drop-in Bolt Carrier Group + magazine that works with your existing trigger. It has the same weight, break, and reset. The perfect tool to condition yourself for sight height over bore holdover, failure drill, traversing multiple targets, and much much more. Your dry fire practice just became 100x more effective and engaging.

Using electromechanical wizardry, Blackbeard allows you to take up to 10 dry fire shots per second, quickly resetting the hammer between each shot. The ultimate AR trigger reset machine.

Installation takes less than a minute. Break open your AR, remove the bolt carrier group, drop in Blackbeard, close your baby up, and put the magazine in place to provide the power. It's a 20 second change-out. Dry fire away, counting how much money you're saving with every sweet trigger break and reset that you hear.

Commissioning was easy. Some problems with the battery/magazine fitting. As a rule, the hits registered well even in fluorescent light. The printable boards were easy to find. From the pages of Mantis. In the latest update, the exposure seems to go over. The shooting distance compensation table for different boards required a bit more searching.

Blackbeard meets all expectations, pleasantly surprised how much you can actually adjust the laser both vertically and horizontally. Incredibly fast, with a full battery it cannot be driven away. Seems to come with a dead battery, so the first charge takes the whole first night, but it lasts a long time.

With the phone app, it is difficult to detect double shots and there are sometimes difficulties in identifying goals depending on the lighting. It didn't work at all under fluorescent light. The device itself is ingenious.

A ringing game for dry training. It does nothing but reset the trigger and show the hit point, but nothing else is needed. Good tip.

A very useful tip. Sometimes it seems that the laser is ignored in the app or the app registers "ghost shots", otherwise good.

The product works but you have to know certain limitation. You will keep the pre-course and the break, but the reset will feel completly different as you can feel the Mantis reseting the trigger. Also you can't do intense long followup shots. The Mantis need to recharge itself, so you can do 10 quick follow up shot then you will feel the reset slowing down, and have to allow a pause of around 20-30 sec before the mantis is charged and ready to do another quick set.
