The Trigrest is a very useful way to add a handle to the shaft of an ice axe. It is easily adjustable and works well when needed, such as when climbing up steep ice.

Excellent upgrade for Petzl Ride (doesn't come with a trigrest, like the Gully). Trivial to mount.

I had hoped that it would be more universal across all Petzl axes and even other axes, but it only works on a few of Petzl’s recent releases.

Doesn't fit the summit evo ice axe like it is supposed to fit the regular ice axe. No fault of the part. Just not enough info
