Product description
— Show original Technical and high-performance ice ax for classic mountain climbing. 30% lighter than the previous model. Designed for all kinds of mountain conditions for versatile use. The modernly shaped handle made with die-casting technology offers a good grip in the curved area and the lower area is straight, thanks to which the pick sinks better in the snow. The end of the shaft is an injected TPU with a rubber surface that provides a very firm grip. The stem is shaped in a suitable curve to give enough free space to work effectively even when climbing an ice wall; the pick can be used in both piolet-canne and piolet-rampe mode.
The steel heat-treated blade, thin at the tip (3 mm), is shaped to give the best possible grip, especially on hard snow and ice. The blade is wider in the middle so that the pick holds better as an anchor even in soft snow. The teeth on the blade improve grip on ice and keep the pick in piolet-ramp mode. Stem of anodized, light and durable 7075 series hydroformed aircraft aluminum. A stainless steel spike at the end of the shaft, thanks to which the shaft sinks into hard snow effectively in piolet-canne mode. The highly wear-resistant steel scraper offers good hand support when moving on a slope, and thanks to the design of the edges, hollowing out the stairs is efficient. The scraper is folded to a suitable angle so that the battery goes into the correct position in piolet-canne mode. The blade and the spike have holes where you can attach a closure ring, a sling strap or a wrist strap string. CE, UIAA. Blade type B. Spike type B.
