Product description

Lightweight and strong four-season tunnel tent with weight-saving low profile design and remarkable space in the vestibule. A versatile tent with superior ventilation, including a new smart feature that lets you roll up the flysheet at both ends. This gives fantastic airflow and is just as practical in unpredictable Scandinavian weather as it is in warmer climates. A perfect lightweight companion when trekking, all year round, in all conditions except the most extreme.

The flysheet is made from new, high-performance TripleRip nylon with an innovative construction that combines two fabric weights – the most exposed areas against the ground are reinforced with a stronger, thicker fabric while the less exposed areas are a lighter fabric – giving excellent strength while keeping weight low. The flysheet and inner tent are connected so the inner tent is kept dry while pitching. Pole sleeves are on the outside and are colour coded for simplicity. They are wide enough to fit double poles (an accessory) in exposed conditions. Large, highly positioned vents give excellent airflow and all openings are covered with a fine mesh that keeps out even the smallest, barely visible insects. The openings in the flysheet can be opened or completely closed with flysheet fabric. In warm conditions the doors can be rolled up and fastened in a half-open position – the zipper has an auto-lock feature so the wind can’t force it to “creep” – for extra air circulation without rain getting to the inner tent.

The inner tent door has a fine mesh and can be completely closed with a fabric door. The vestibule has plenty of room for equipment, cooking or a four-legged friend. The entrance is from the side, which means the space can be used well. The inner tent is also spacious with a clothesline and mesh pockets that are useful when you want to keep track of your gear. Just like all of Fjällräven’s tents, Abisko Shape 3 is made entirely without PVC plastic and toxic flame retardants, and its impregnation is fluorocarbon free.

  • Weight-saving, low-profile design but still with remarkable space in the vestibule
  • Flysheet can be rolled up at both ends for superior ventilation
  • Closable vent openings with no-see-um mesh
  • DAC V-Pegs Small
  • 2 mm Dyneema (160 kg) reflective guyline

The small interior height was a little surprising, especially if you use an air-filled sleeping pad. Despite the ventilation, it condenses somewhat, in stronger winds it stays quite dry

A little low inside. Easy to set up by yourself and light enough to carry. I've had good dreams several nights already!

A bit disappointed after one overnight session. For the price, I expected much more. For example, the door sticks to the legs: there is no zipper in the lower part. Not easy to put together the first time. Requires a footprint. There was once a jack wolfskin clearly cheaper tent, the price/practicality was significantly better

With 10 nights of experience, high-quality and easy to set up. I bought a 3-person tent in order to have enough space for two if necessary. It would be cramped for two because the tent is narrower at the foot end than 2 sleeping pads. The inner tent was already in place, but it hangs so low that the stated length of 220cm is actually approx. 200cm. I am 188cm. In rainy weather, the foot end of the sleeping bag and base gets wet due to condensation between the hanging fabrics of the inner tent if you don't sleep diagonally. Spacious apse.

Easy to set up and the footprint can be firmly attached to the tent. More nights in the forest are needed for the experiences to have some added value. We switched to this from HubbaHubba NX2, where the spaces started to get cramped and there was no proper vestibule space.

Good tent. The fabric is at least initially very electrostatic and collects sand with it. You have to learn how to stand up so that it happens quickly.

One night sleeping, warm tent. Good quality. Easy to set up. When packed, the tent could fit in a rather small bag. All in all, I am very satisfied

Absolutely great tent. Very light and really spacious for 2 people, there is also plenty of space for equipment in the apse. Very happy with this purchase :)

I thought for a long time between Helsport and this one, the larger apse won and therefore Fjällu. Abisko was enough for us, Keb was too stout for us
