These might make you sweat a little, but I guess all of them do. Putting them on felt a little awkward at first. But they did their job so well that it was worth getting them. You didn't notice them when you were walking. They also stayed in place really well, including the hooks that attach to the shoelaces. I didn't have to tighten them during the hike.
