Lightweight, sturdy travel shorts in G-1000 Lite. Practical for travel adventures and long trips when you need durable garments that can withstand harder wear. Roomy leg pockets with flaps, ergonomically placed on the side of the leg and with diagonal openings for better access. Two hand pockets and zippered back pockets that are hidden under a flap.

Great shorts but bit tighter fit than other fjallraven pants. Also the material isnt the most durable. Already have one little rip. Seems to be contained by the ripstop though. Cargo pockets could have cell phone holder like other pants

— Show originalI wanted more affordable and lighter shorts for everyday life as a companion to the more expensive keb Gaiter pants. The cut of Ruaha suits me better than other Fjällräven shorts (but not as well as Kebi's cut), which means that squatting and taking high steps are also possible. The pockets are not as functional as in Kebi, but these are fine for everyday use. When you bend your leg, the pocket presents its contents to the world and the phone in the pocket tunes/tightens the fabric, limiting movement. The fabric is, as expected, more airy than in Kebi. As it says in the description, the shorts are looser than Kebs of the same size. Personally, I would like a size smaller, but Fjällräven does not sell this to me.Well made shorts, excellent for summer hiking or around the shops
