A good-sized backpack for day trips to the forest. Quality materials.

Kahakka 25 L looks nice. Haven't tried it in the woods yet. Has a similar but better closing device than Jäkkäri S. Nylon in 1000 D is solid but does not give the same fine feeling as a thinner fabric of other quality.

The Kahakka backpack has completely met the high expectations, which were based on the fact that I have been a very satisfied user of the Jääkäri backpack for several years.

Excellent tough backpack with lots of capacity. Could use a couple mm more padding in the shoulder straps and something to cover the back foam from rain

Savotan Kahakka has now been involved in the berry forest rather than in the elk forest. When picking berries, a big advantage is that the rectangular 12 l berry bucket fits in the backpack just right, doesn't get loose and leaves enough room for snacks. Especially good at collecting real raven jams, you have to walk a lot while collecting them and it's not easy to carry a heavy bucket in your hand all the time. Also good in the elk forest, everything you need can fit in and the backpack is quiet on your back when sneaking up on a bark. The best thing about the backpack is the versatile adjustments, they are easy to make and all in all the backpack seems really durable. I've been walking in the forest and in the wild for 50 years and it's definitely the best backpack I've come across so far, with versatile and easy-to-use adjustments, the backpack becomes a bit like an extension of the body. A small minus is that when shooting, the butt of the gun comes against the thick thong in the armpit, and I don't think the butt of the butt sits securely enough in the armpit. Maybe I lack practice, I've only been able to shoot in the elk forest a couple of times. I recommend a backpack for all sorts of things, picking berries and generally moving around in nature.

Simple, and meet my requirement, got extra pocket on the top and front, and a space for laptop or water bladder in the main space, oh yes, I also have a askare, which can combine together, the combination ability of Savotta gears is really amazing.

I bought a Kahakka 25 backpack for fishing and it worked great for that. My criteria were: simplicity in the structure of the backpack, high-quality and durable materials, adaptability of the backpack to my own style, decent side pockets and quick and easy access to the contents of the backpack. All my criteria met in this backpack. Almost all fishing backpacks (especially in the Finnish market) have not thought about the food side at all. You can bring enough accessories and lures, often even more than you would need or have time to try. But I don't think much about food. Another downside of backpacks designed for fishing is that if the backpack doesn't hold enough snacks, it won't fit, for example, a jacket when the day starts to warm up after morning. Often when I go fishing, it can easily take 8-12 hours and then just one sandwich and a bottle of soda is not enough. Kahakka 25 I get a 710ml food thermos and a drinking bottle in the same side pocket, and then there is still another side pocket left. The jacket and other clothes can easily be placed in the large side pocket inside the backpack or attached to the front of the backpack with the Savotta cord kit. I recommend the Kahakka 25, it has a price, but it's worth getting a good backpack at once and investing in additional accessories. Like buying crappy Chinese fishing backpacks, where you always have to compromise on some criteria.

What to consider when choosing a backpack?

Backpacks are often an indispensable accessory in daily life and when outdoors. For example, snacks and possible extra clothes or other items taken on a day trip need to be packed somewhere, and carrying them in a plastic bag on nature trails is not a very appealing idea. In d...
