After a day in climbing shoes, mountaineering boots, or ski boots, the Rab Cirrus Hut Boots offer a soft, warm cocoon to worn out feet. Keeping you toasty to the tips of your toes, they extend up around the ankle and are perfect for use in mountain huts, draughty bothies, or just for relaxing at home on winter’s night by the fire.
The Cirrus Hut Boots are filled with PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Luxe, a synthetic insulation made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle chips. They have a recycled nylon lining and a breathable and weather resistant recycled Pertex® Quantum outer.
The lower edge of the boot is reinforced with tough nylon with a cushioned EVA foam footbed and a flexible, non-slip sole.

— Show originalI bought these with the idea that you can wear them in the wilderness when the day's outdoor activities are over. I've only been testing at the hut for a couple of weeks and noticed that you have to wear socks, bare feet are starting to wear off.
A big minus in töppös is the narrow and tight opening of the stem. It's really laborious to push the foot in and it doesn't work at all with a thicker sock. The manufacturer could have made it 1-2 cm wider, so the foot would fit inside better. There is really no use for the rubber band on the stem when the stem is already tight. We thought with my co-wife about splitting the stem 3cm down from the front and sewing the edges closed, if that would work better.
The plus comes from the warmth and the sturdy bottom. So far, I've only stayed at the shelter with a mailbox and trash and in freezing weather, so I don't have much experience of being outside in stuffy places yet. Time will tell how slippery they are on water slides and how well they can withstand small amounts of snow.
