Built with durable, stretchy and weather-resistant softshell fabric for high-output pursuits in mild conditions, the Black Diamond MidWeight Softshell gloves offer dynamic, breathable protection while ski touring, climbing or backpacking. The full goat leather palms and fingers offer a secure grip on poles or tools and feature digital material on the thumbs and index fingers allow for gloves-on touchscreen functionality. Comfortable, fleece-lined neoprene cuffs seal out the elements and make for easy on and off.

— Show originalI got the gloves primarily for jogging the dog. Been in use for a year now without any signs of wear. They have kept their patterns well.
For me, the comfort limit is somewhere around five degrees below zero. The only star falls out of the rather tight mouth opening, which does not need a spring and thus requires a bit of concentration when dressing.
And works well enough for touch screen as well. Quite a competent glove for my purpose.
Now that the weather is getting colder, I got the HeavyWeights of the same model, which seem to be able to handle dog runs ten degrees on the colder side.| Overall rating |

I don't think they are suitable for colder weather (below -2c) unless your hands are busy all the time. Prepared for hiking or backpacking in winter. The thickness is thought to be for spring and autumn, but it seems to be fine in winter as well.
