My normal shoe size is 42.5 and I chose the same size for my climbing shoes, after also trying sizes 41.5 and 42. I was able to wear the smaller size 42 shoe for a good quarter of an hour, but it put quite a lot of pressure on the joints of my second and third toes. My foot is quite wide and the model is so-called Greek (the second toe is longer), and the shoe fits well in terms of shape. I have now worn the slippers for a few hours at home and a couple of climbing sessions. On the second climbing session, I was able to wear the shoes for about an hour before I had to rest my toes.

used for bouldering, good grip, good sensations and good comfort. small downside, the upper part of the shoe is a little thin and does not like the overuse of counterpoints

high end shoe which is comfortable at all. love.

Great shoe nice fit. Works perfect for most of my climbing. The rubber doesn’t last very long. Despite the longevity problem, it’s the best climbing shoes I have used this one and the vs model (a bit better for outdoor climbing.

Great shoe

I have been climbing in scarpa instinct vs for a year and a half and love the fit on my wide, flat foot. Figured I couldn’t go wrong with the VSR while my VS pair gets re-soled. I was unpleasantly reminded of the break in period and how tight these feel out of the box. I am normally a US 11.5 or 12 and I have the VS and VSR in 11. They feel all wrong at first but after several sessions they fit like a glove. I spent some time breaking them in at home, so I could enjoy my first sessions at the gym. I like that I will now have the option of a good edging shoe or a stickier shoe in the same fit.
