Lowa Zephyr MK2 GTX® Hi TF

Narrow fit. I ordered the same size as my LOWA Breacher, but Zephyr were too short for my feet. I send them back for a return. Will get a size larger pair.

Two similar mid-height shoes have been used before. Comfortable and well-fitting shoe right from the start. My feet have never gotten sore with these shoes. One abrasion occurred during a 2-day, 86-kilometer hike. Great shoe, but the best grip on the sole disappears quite quickly and the gore membranes tend to burst, I think that's typical of modern shoes.

Went to buy another pair of these boots almost straight after my previous purchase. Such great quality and resilient boots. Do yourself a massive favour and get these.

Really comfortable, sturdy, high-quality and good-looking. Easy to put on, quick-release lacing is convenient to use. The only downside is that the shoes are slippery in the cold, so one star is taken off.

The best boots I've tried. Excellent sole, soft on the heel, but solidly built. (I have a problem with my heel, which causes them to hurt quickly in "normal" soles. It hasn't happened in these yet) They are really easy to slip on and off the leg when the edges are pulled to the side and the "tongue" is pushed to the front when removing. I spent 4 hours at the shooting range in Upinniemi in minuscule temperatures in just thin merino socks, and my toes didn't feel cold at all. But it still breathes perfectly.

Comfortable shoes, keep water impregnated well. Practically suitable for year-round use, incl. in very icy weather or for special conditions such as working on the roof. 4/5.
