The Fenix Superraptor 2 headlamp is a update to the best selling HM65R Superraptor headlamp that features improved performance with its spot beam Luminus SST40 LEDs and color optimized floodlight LED. Latest impovements include even more durable and comfortable 35mm headband and updated electronics.
Independently controlled spotlight and a floodlight produce a combined maximum output of 1500 lumens. Powered by 3400 mAh Li-ion battery (included), this headlamp is USB-C rechargeable. It is made of a lightweight magnesium alloy for better strength, impact resistant to 2 meters) and less weight. Perfect for all activities where the brightest hands-free lighting is required.
The perforated reflective headband reduces weight and creates a more comfortable feel. Use the optional top headband for a more secure fit. Perfect for work or outdoor adventures, and those needing extremely bright hands-free lighting and long run-times in a small, light-weight package.
Powered by a single 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery (included), or 2 x CR123A Lithium batteries can be used as well.

— Show originalThe headlamp is of very high quality and the light output is MORE than sufficient. The battery lasts enough at lower power (smaller lens, but at full power) when you consider the time you use the headlamp. The headlamp also charges quickly.
The headlamp's tightening straps also work flawlessly, as you could easily adjust them to your own head size.
The only downside was the tension adjuster on the circumference strap, which hits the right ear. It hinders the use of external hearing protection, which can of course be bypassed by using earplugs as hearing protection.
If the adjuster were further back, but not in the middle of the strap, it would be a good change that is easy to implement in your next headlamps.
Otherwise, I am VERY satisfied with the headlamp. How have I ever managed without this headlamp. A really important and safe light source when working in the dark.| Overall rating |
