Expectations were perhaps too high due to the numerous good reviews. I bought the lamp for mountain biking and general use. The lamp controls have a good feel and clear steps, adjustment is easy with gloves on. Controlling the different light modes with the rotary switch is quite convenient. The lamp mount, a large plastic plate, does not give much freedom for more special installations. A GoPro mount with a significantly smaller surface area would be more versatile. However, it can be attached to helmets, depending on the air vents, even without a large mounting plate that needs to be taped. The mounting plates are quite expensive if you have to buy several. The biggest criticisms come from the burn time table found on Fenix's product pages (this has apparently been removed from Varustenet's pages), e.g. 1800 lm 2h 49 min in power mode. The product comes with more precise measurement curves of burn times, which show that, for example, the spotlight's turbo 1800 lm mode is only on for about 15 minutes, after which the power drops to 800 lm and before 2 hours the power drops to 200 lm. Similarly, the spotlight's high 800 lm power burn time is reported to be 3 hours 28 minutes in power mode, but the power drops to ~500 lm power before 30 minutes. The actual times could be communicated more clearly in the product information. Of course, the measurements have been made according to the ANSI/PLATO FL-1 standard, which allows the final power to be only 10% of the starting power, but such tables tell almost nothing about the lamp's real performance and are more misleading than informative. The lamp's power is good, the spotlights are successful and it is certainly a device that is suitable for many, many uses. Fenix ​​could sharpen its product information and communicate honestly what the lamps are capable of, so customers could make a purchasing decision based on that.

The construction of the headlamp is very convincing and durable, with a surprisingly large number of different functions in a small package. The light output is good, but the beam is not incredibly long-range, even at maximum output. It is a bit challenging to find a suitable fit for the lamp without the headband squeezing, and the lamp not swinging too much. It will probably take some getting used to.
