This backpack has become my new favorite EDC pack! (It could even be set up as a lightweight "get-home" bag!) It tags along on city commutes, bike rides, and so on. Great quality, clean and simple design—it doesn't scream "Hey! Look, I wanna be a gray man!"; it *is* "gray man"... the color blends in well with both urban and outdoor environments. The hip belt (unnecessary for a pack this size) is easily removable without cutting. For weekend city trips, I supplement the pack with a 20L Ortlieb Light-Pack, just in case I make any impulse buys... I haven't tested the waterproofing yet, but generally, roll-tops work better and more reliably than waterproof zippers... If there's room for improvement: the pack is made of three fabric layers that aren't laminated together (there's a valid reason for this). I suspect water might accumulate between the outer fabric and the waterproof layer, adding unnecessary weight. A drainage hole of some sort would be good! The outer fabric seems to get dirty easily! I haven't even tried cleaning it; I think the pack just develops a nicer patina!
Great purchase! Highly recommended!
A photo from a weekend trip! ...Toothbrush, spare underwear, and socks—that kind of vibe! ;)

Very comfortable to carry, and the roll-top opening offers flexibility regarding capacity. If I had bought this right away, I could have avoided the "army of backpacks" currently taking over my home, as this single bag meets the needs of both a smaller and a larger pack.

Spacious and stylish backpack, I haven't had a chance to test it in the rain yet. The only downside is that there are only two small zippered pockets.

very waterresistant, but because of it, it is missing a long useful zip on the side for better access. And the laptop bag is a bit small for a 15" laptop, mine barely fit. The product is of great quality.

I wanted to combine the separate work, shopping, gym, swimming and cycling backpacks I had previously used into one completely waterproof, neat and large enough backpack. I told AI this and his answer was the Fjällräven Ulvö Rolltop. And the guy wasn't wrong! I have rarely, if ever, been so happy with any of my purchases. The pile of backpacks disappeared from the hallway and the Ulvö takes care of all the work. Neat for work use, unbeatable as a shopping backpack because you can overfill the roll and keep it in heavy rain. I recommend it to everyone. For everything.

A really spacious backpack that holds up well even in pouring rain. A plus is the roll-up opening, side pockets for a bottle(s) and a pocket for a laptop. The red gold color is absolutely lovely! The only downside is the small number of outer pockets (only one zippered) and the fact that when there is a lot of stuff in the backpack, to reach the bottom you have to take everything out or, conversely, dig to the bottom "by feel". That's why four stars.
