Skaget Perform is a comfortable BC ski boot with the new Xplore™ system for those who love skiing off the pisted tracks. Warm and sturdy BC ski boot, with the new Xplore outsole from Rottefella. Extra high shaft for better insulation, mudguard for ice and snow protection. The Xplore™ binding system provides great stability in downhills and allows a natural skiing technique with a flex in the sole. Comfortable fit for those cold winter tours. Note that certain snow/crust conditions are an extreme strain on the boots’ materials, and with use under such conditions, increased wear is expected.

Size chart
To easily measure the length of the foot, place a piece of paper against the wall. Then place the foot (barefoot or with a thin sock) on the paper with the heel against the wall. It is important to stand upright when measuring. Put a line in front of the longest toe and measure with a ruler. Measure both feet; it is not uncommon for one foot to be larger than the other. Round up to the nearest integer to find your size. These methods act as supervisors. It is recommended that you always try on the shoes to find the perfect boot and fit as no two feet are alike.

A nice wide last, where the toe mobility and blood circulation are maintained even if the boots are worn a little tighter. My foot is about 275 mm long and the widest part of the foot is almost 110 mm, and the size chart was a bit of a pain for me (44). It's nice that you don't have to choose a larger size to get enough width, so the hinge of the sole fits better at the foot and the binding attachment is closer to the toes, which makes skiing easier and keeps the heel in place during telemark turns. Anyone who has skied a long distance with 75 mm rat traps knows what it's like when the joint point between the boot and the ski is too far away, when you have to take a narrow last boot a size or two larger. The Skaget is torsionally stiff and skis precisely even on uneven surfaces, and the stiffness of the Xplore is comparable to a Rottefella tip binding when you have to take the ski to the edge. The retaining balls on the Xplore binding may have gotten stuck for some users, so it's a good idea to keep them well-oiled and always carry a tool with you that can be used to release the ball by pushing in the opposite side, such as a set of house keys.| Overall rating |
The last of the boots fits really well for wide feet, they are also very warm. Skiing on skis is smooth and sufficiently supportive. The downside of the product is the lacing, which practically requires the removal of the gloves. At the Achilles tendon, it was really hard at first and caused chafing, but after enough break-in, it started to sit.| Overall rating |
Great boot. A little roomy in the toe box compared to Alpina. This makes it great for the cold, though perhaps less responsive.
