XA FORCES MID GTX® is a lightweight, all conditions boot for moving fast in the most critical situations. Based on Salomon's iconic XA PRO 3D, this special forces oriented boot is more durable in every way, and has a beefier outsole.

An updated Contagrip® Sole has wider lugs for more ground contact, and a pronounced break in front of the heel for climbing ladders and descending hills.

— Show originalI have been using these shoes every day for many years (with and without Gore-Tex / GTX), I am satisfied and buy them regularly. In my opinion, the additional charge for GTX is money well spent. The only disadvantage with this shoe in the past was the fiddly and insecure storage of the Quicklace quick lacing system - several times while mountain biking I got stuck with the Quicklace loop slipping out and tore it. The current (otherwise unchanged) design has been improved here. With the new design, the shoes deserve full marks.| Overall rating |
