Hot coffee makes you beautiful

The hiking season is on, and more and more people have been asking tips on good camping food.

On longer hikes, it does matter how much your backpack weighs. So, it’s important to have your food dried or take ready camping meals with you. Nowadays camping food tastes pretty good, even better after a long hike.

However, in this post, I will give you some food tips for trips that I do the most: hedonistic trips in the woods. The name of the game is that we walk a distance, no matter long or short, to a nice place, make camp and start preparing delicacies we’ve brought to the destination.

Having coffee in an urban environment is an important daily moment of enjoyment for me (and presumably for many others). It is a pleasure to calm down by yourself with a fresh, steamy, delicious cup of coffee, or enjoy it in a relaxed company.

If food tastes many times better in nature, so does coffee. In winter and in autumn nights, it is nice to set up a campfire and enjoy the atmosphere with proper coffee made over it. For bright and leisurely summer mornings, I recommend espresso made with a moka pot or AeroPress coffee.

You don’t need a lot of equipment for one- or two-night trips, so there is place for a moka pot, AeroPress equipment and a high-quality coffee grinder in your backpack. Grinding a coffee on a shore in a beautiful morning sun leads you to a calm and pleasurable atmosphere, and in fact, the coffee making process doesn’t take long, so your delicious drink is ready in a blink of an eye.

There is a time and place for instant and homemade coffee, but my summer mornings include freshly ground espresso. Try it – you might love it.
