Leica Ultravid HD 8 x 42

The Leica Ultravid HD 8x42 binocular is one of the upgraded Ultravid models that form this excellent new HD optics line. The 8x42 Leica Ultravid HDs were greatly improved by the use of high-density, fluorite-containing lenses and the addition of Leica’s AquaDura water-shedding coating. The Leica Ultravid HDs combine light weight with remarkable optical performance. Ultravid HD binoculars have P40 phase-corrective coatings on the prisms and the HighLux System to ensure the brightest, high-contrast images while minimizing the impact of stray light. Light transmission and resolution of Ultravid HD binoculars are further improved with full HDC multi-coating on the 9 lens elements in each barrel. With a large interpupillary range of 55-75 mm and eyecups that adjust through three positions, the new Ultravids will be comfortable for anyone to use. Black rubber armoring covers the magnesium frame, making the HDs as durable as they are stylish. Fully sealed and nitrogen filled, Ultravid HDs are waterproof to a depth of 16.5 feet and internally fog-proof as well.
