Mammut Ultralight Removable Airbag 3.0:

With the Airbag System 3.0, we have succeeded in developing a reliable, small, ultra-lightweight avalanche airbag. As the airbag balloon needs to be extremely robust, we have revised it completely using production technologies from the automotive industry.

A detailed tour plan including studying avalanche reports, weather forecasts and maps, selecting the route and a situative assessment on site are essential for any freerider. A full set of avalanche safety equipment is another basic requirement, as is the ability to use it correctly through training and regular practice.

The Removable Airbag System 3.0 (with a carbon cartridge) weighs as much as 1 liter of water. It is the lightest airbag system we have ever developed.

Mammut Carbon Cartridge 300 bar Non-Refillable:

With an extremely light cartridge wrapped in carbon fiber for the most demanding requirements. When filled, this cartridge weighs around just 310 grams and therefore around 50% less than a steel or aluminum cartridge. The cartridge is an essential component of the avalanche airbag system and must be ordered separately. It is intended for sale in Europe and must be refilled by the manufacturer after any deployment.
