Kainuun Puukko is proud to present to you what aficionados worldwide have come to know as some of the sharpest knives in the world. Our smiths and their ancestors have been producing these quality blades dating back to 1610. Thats almost 400 hundred years of accumulated skill, knowledge, expertise and craftsmanship. At the present the blades are hammered by knife smith Veijo Käpylä (VK)or Marko Lindelä (ML). You can recognize the real KP-Tommi Puukkos from the knife smith’s initials that are smitted into the blade. The only four initials are AK, OK and at the present VK and ML.
These knives are razor sharp, have long edge retention, and are easy to resharpen. They are comfortable, light weight and durable. The Puukko is an excellent tool that will last for decades. Here you will find knives for every purpose, from rugged working knives to exquisitely beautiful collector items. 95 is the traditional standard, good for just about all your cutting tasks

- Blade width 20 mm
- Length of knife 205 mm
- Blade is hand forged Progressiontempered©, silver steel. Handle is made of arctic Raita root (or arctic birch), it is very durable and gives a good grip.
- Bolsters are cast solid brass. Swinger is always made separately to each knife so that it fits perfectly.
