One of Patagonia's warmest parkas and one of their most active in helping Patagonia to rely on cleaner, nonextractive materials. It uses a 100% recycled GORE-TEX fabric with the first-ever GORE-TEX PFC-free membrane and a PFC-free DWR—eliminating long-lasting fluorinated chemicals. The 100% recycled face fabric is partially made with diverted ocean-bound plastic by Bionic. Made in a Fair Trade Certified factory.

- Shell uses GORE-TEX 100% recycled polyester plain-weave face fabric, which is partially made from BIONIC® recycled coastal and marine plastic sourced in Costa Rica
- Body and lining have a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals)
- Insulation is 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (duck and goose down reclaimed from down products)
- Two-way, center-front zipper with external storm flap secures with hidden snap closure; interior storm flap; brushed jersey-lined collar for added chin comfort
- Insulated fixed hood with hidden adjustment cords that cinch down for protective warmth
- Two welted zippered handwarmer pockets and an internal zippered chest pocket keep your valuable secure and accessible
- Storm cuffs seal in warmth and can be worn over or under gloves; adjustable hem with hidden drawcords routed inside front pockets
- Lining fabric and insulation are certified as bluesign approved

Me iba grande la talla. La he devuelto y pedido una menos. Mido 178 y peso 87 kgr y la guía de tallas de Patagonia dice L, que me va muy grande. La M me queda perfecta!! La calidad percibida es muy alta. Muy calurosa en la prueba pendiente, de probarla en la intemperie

Muuten ok, takki, mutta gore-tex pinta ei ole kovin hengittävä ja hieman enemmän liikkuessa takki alkaa hiostaa. Kauluksesta puuttuu toppaus etupuolelta, jonka johdosta kylmällä säällä joutuu käyttämään kauluria tukkimaan lämpövuodon etupuolelta. Myöskään huppu ei ole riittävän iso. Lippa jää monisti liian taakse eikä suojaa vedeltä/lumelta, hupun sivut ovat myös liian lyhyet, joten kylmä tuuli jäädyttää posket. On myös hieman yllättävää että tämän hintainen takki kärsii kyynerpäiden alueen untuvapaosta jättäen kyynertaipeet ilman eristettä.

I love the Patagonia Stormshadow Parka — it fits me perfectly. For reference, I’m 177 cm and 76 kg. I tried the jacket version first. The Medium was too large: sleeves were too long and the cut felt boxy through the mid-section. The Small was very tailored — fine if you’re just wearing it on its own — but it was too short and didn’t allow much room for layering. The Parka in Small sits nicely between those two. Sleeve length is spot on, the shoulders fit well, and there’s enough room to layer without feeling oversized. Overall, it’s a much better balanced cut for my build. Patagonia’s sizing across the jacket vs parka feels a bit inconsistent, so I’d strongly recommend trying both if you’re between sizes. The front zipper feels high quality, the storm flap is excellent and seals well in wind, and overall construction is very solid. There is a slight “swoosh” sound from the fabric, but it’s minimal and not an issue in practice.
