Åsnes Nansen 2-Section Alloy/Carbon

Simple and light.

I bought these as a matching set for my Nansen skis after having tested them from a friend. The poles are very lightweight and offer good grip.

I was very pleased at how quickly my order arrived from Varuste. I like the Asnes Nansen ski poles as the grips and straps can accommodate large mittens in cold weather. The clamp lever also works better in cold weather than the older twist lock. I took one star off as pulling the straps tighter can be a bit tricky. Overall I like the ski poles.

Great poles, baskets spin which is a bonus compared to fixed baskets. Double grip is great for versatility when going the distance. Tie out loops for flagging tape are also a great feature to help with navigation (wind direction). The canning feature slipped for the first few adjustments, the poles/cam seems to require breaking in before they actually bite into the pile shaft enough to not move.
