Mont Blanc Freeride

A guide to off piste skiing and ski mountaineering in the Chamonix/Mont Blanc area - the guide covers the Vallée Blanche, Courmayeur, Argentière, the Aiguilles Du Midi area and the Flégère ski area.

It covers a good range of ski tours such as the classic Vallée Blanche, the crossing of the Col du Passon and the Aiguille de Bérard through to much steeper fare such as the descent of the Gervasutti Couloir. Each tour is graded for difficulty.

The guide is in full colour throughout and is packed with lots of useful information regarding access and conditions etc. A good source of ideas, though the absence of a detailed map for each tour is irritating.
