The Oregon 750 handheld provides comprehensive navigation and tracking to guide you on and off the beaten path, using GPS and GLONASS plus ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) sensor capabilities. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by showing short-term trends in air pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass keeps your bearing, whether you’re moving or not. There’s also a TracBack^® feature on Oregon 750 to help you navigate back to your starting point the same way you came. You can also mark locations, such as your campsite, vehicle or other points of interest, to which you'd like return navigation.

Take charge of your next adventure with BaseCamp^™, software that lets you view and organise maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. This free trip-planning software even allows you to create Garmin Adventures that you can share with friends, family or fellow explorers online. BaseCamp displays on your computer screen any topographic map data stored on the device, including contour lines and elevation profiles. It also can transfer an almost unlimited amount of satellite images to your device from the included BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription.

Verdi for pengene er ikke tilfredsstillende. Gikk til garantiservice en gang, for noen ganger gikk det alltid ut. Fryser ofte.

Jeg kjøpte dette for å erstatte mine forrige 60-serie Garmin geps, som hadde startet med triks fast. I min egen hovedbruk, i trening etter hund, er det viktigste den mest nøyaktige spor reproduserbarheten mulig, og det er her dette fungerer så vel som min utmerkede 60-serie enhet. Jeg liker ikke geocaching, så funksjonene knyttet til den er ubrukelige for meg. Det verste med enheten er den helt uheldige batterilevetiden. Selv om jeg alltid prøver å lade den like før jeg tar den off-road, har ladningsnivået etter bare et par timer avtatt til et lavt nivå. På lengre turer tør jeg ikke holde den på hele tiden, men jeg slår den bare på når jeg føler at jeg trenger det og ikke bruker kameraet i det hele tatt. Reserve batterier må alltid være tilstede. Med Bluetooth parres enheten med Garmin Connect, men Basecamp og Express ser ut til å kreve en USB-pinne, fungerer ikke på BT eller via wifi. Faktisk fant jeg ikke ut hvor jeg til og med skulle bruke den wifi her (wifi fungerer i seg selv, det vil si at den finner nettverket, men de Garmins egen programvare bare dyster gjennom viften ?? Oppsummert: En enhet som ellers ville ha det bra, men dårlig batterilevetid gjør det irriterende dårlig. Litt for mange funksjoner på bekostning av pålitelig drift. Kameraet er ubrukelig, spesielt ettersom bruken bruker enda flere batterier, så nå vil jeg kjøpe en billigere kameraløs modell selv.
