Faber Winter Rover 30"

This recreational snowshoe has been designed to satisfy the user who walks both on packed trails as well as off-trail in soft and deep snow. The new innovative U-shape design with arched side frame assures a natural gate particularly appreciated by women. With this design, the snowshoes will not knock against each other when in use, resulting in less noise and greater ease of walking.

These hybrid snowshoes (wooden frame + copolymer decking) offer the strength equivalent to an aluminium snowshoe with the advantage of being one of the lightest snowshoe on the market. Furthermore, the varnished hard wood frames are slush proof and the decking is shaped to create a non-dragging tail. The FABER patented “Live” pivoting system allows a full rotation of the binding which ensures good lateral control and lighter footsteps by partially lifting the snowshoe, keeping the tail down while discharging the snow from the decking therefore enabling easier walking. In addition, the pivot’s “blocker” limits the rotation to 70º, easing backward walking and jumping over obstacles. It also prevent the snowshoe's toe from hitting the shinbone.

The snowshoe is equipped with a TRIO 2LR binding (two lever ratchet buckles and toe box) which is sturdy and easy to use.  The snowshoe's traction is created by its six decking wings screwed under the frame and by its aluminium crampons. The wooden frame of the snowshoe combined with recyclable components makes it the greenest choice in this category.
