Edelrid G-Screamer

The Edelrid G-Screamer is a compact and lightweight shock absorber designed specifically for sport climbing with rope clamps and uncertain anchor points. This versatile climbing accessory enhances safety in alpine climbing, big wall climbing, and ice climbing. It is installed between two carabiners like a regular quickdraw and can also be used as a backup on unreliable anchor points or large rock cracks.

In the event of a fall, the shock absorber deploys, reducing the impact force on the anchor point to below 4 kN. When deployed, its total length extends to 100 cm. Weighing less than 50 g, it is only slightly heavier than a standard quickdraw sling but offers a significant safety margin when attached to a harness.
