Yak leather footwear is particularly robust and comfortable. Thanks to its unique and distinctive grain structure, each shoe is one of a kind – this also applies to the Travi Low SF Extra Lady. Hanwag only uses yak leather from herds raised using sustainable livestock management in Mongolia. The raw material is then processed by the Josef Heinen leather tannery in Germany. The leather used to make these models conforms with the rigorous ‘Gold Standard’ standards of the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder group responsible for the environmental and sustainable certification for leather production. The advantage of this exclusive material is that not only is the Travi Low SF Extra Lady exceptionally good at retaining its form, it’s also particularly comfortable. The naturally breathable performance of leather creates a pleasant internal foot climate that allows moisture to escape and for your feet to ‘breathe’. And as the leather lining adapts to the contours of the foot, the fit just gets better over time.
