The Oregon 750 handheld provides comprehensive navigation and tracking to guide you on and off the beaten path, using GPS and GLONASS plus ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) sensor capabilities. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by showing short-term trends in air pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass keeps your bearing, whether you’re moving or not. There’s also a TracBack® feature on Oregon 750 to help you navigate back to your starting point the same way you came. You can also mark locations, such as your campsite, vehicle or other points of interest, to which you'd like return navigation.

Take charge of your next adventure with BaseCamp™, software that lets you view and organise maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. This free trip-planning software even allows you to create Garmin Adventures that you can share with friends, family or fellow explorers online. BaseCamp displays on your computer screen any topographic map data stored on the device, including contour lines and elevation profiles. It also can transfer an almost unlimited amount of satellite images to your device from the included BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription.

— Näita originaaliOstsin selle, et asendada oma eelmist 60. seeria Garmini GPS-i, mis oli hakanud trikitama ja takerduma. Minu enda põhikasutuses, jäljekoerakoolituses, on kõige olulisem kõige täpsem jälje korratavus ja see toimib sama hästi kui minu suurepäraselt täpne 60 seeria seade. Ma ei tegele geopeitusega, seega on sellega seotud funktsioonid minu jaoks mõttetud.
Seadme halvim asi on aku vilets eluiga. Kuigi proovin seda alati laadida vahetult enne maale viimist, on juba paari tunni pärast laetuse tase kahanenud miinimumini. Pikematel reisidel ei julge seda koguaeg sees hoida, lülitan sisse ainult siis, kui tunnen, et vajan ja kaamerat ei kasuta üldse. Varuakud peavad alati kaasas olema.
Bluetoothiga paaritub seade Garmin Connectiga, kuid Basecamp ja Express tunduvad vajavat usb-pulka, ei tööta BT-ga ega wifiga. Tegelikult ei saanud ma aru, milleks siin wifit üldse kasutada saab (wifi töötab iseenesest ehk leiab võrgu üles, aga need Garmini enda tarkvarad sünkroonivad ainult võrgu kaudu??)
Kokkuvõtvalt: Seade, mis muidu oleks korralik, aga närune akukestvus teeb sellest kahju. Natuke liiga palju funktsioone usaldusväärse töö arvelt. Kaamera on mõttetu, eriti kui selle kasutamine kulutab akusid veelgi rohkem, seega ostaks nüüd soodsama mudeli ilma kaamerata.| Üldhinnang |
