This is an excellent product. I'm not a scientist so I can't attest to the veracity of their claims on what it filters out, but I can tell you that the water coming out of the spout tastes good. It is quite large and a little heavy but I knew both of those facts before I bought it. Honestly, I think it's a marginal compromise considering it gives you access to what is effectively an unlimited amount of clean, safe drinking water when you're out an about, be that in the wild or in a city. I would pre-filter any water that was very cloudy or with high level of sediment using a Millbank bag or even a mesh ditty bag at a push to prolong the life of the filter. This isn't going to be a solution for more than one or possibly two people but for its intended use it's hard to see how it can be beaten given what it filters out.

The perfect product for camping. There is no need to carry many liters of drinking water in the fells, when you can always fill the bottle with clean water if necessary.

Excellent for purifying water, however, it works poorly as a drinking bottle, because there is always some unfiltered water at the bottom, which then leaks from the gap onto the breasts.

Works quickly and quite conveniently! The only downside is, if the filter starts to reach the end of its service life in the middle of a longer trip, then filtering the water takes longer and becomes physically much heavier than with a fresh filter.

Good for cleaning water, including viruses. I personally like this 710 ml version better than the 0.5 L version of the Compact model. I'm gaining a little weight, but it hasn't been too much yet. In Lapland, of course, you don't normally need to carry it with you, especially if you take water from streams/where it flows. Of course, this also helps in Lapland if an animal has died in the stream upstream.

No stars because of the weight and also a bit challenging to learn to use. In other words, you have to learn to manage when the filter needs to be dried in time before the use ends like a wall. Most people think that the filter got clogged, but it does start to work after being rinsed with fresh water and allowed to dry in peace. However, I wouldn't take this on a longer trip because of the ao problem.

You should look for a sturdy and flat base for the product so that it is easy to press down on the cleaning cartridge. Easy to use.

Easy and fast device. Once, even a small hole in the swamp yielded completely clean and drinkable water. It takes a bit of force to squeeze the water through. You should choose a good place and press down with your whole body weight.

The amounts of filtration promised are far exaggerated. If you filter the waters of a Finnish lake / pond, the filter will be clogged after 2 days of filtering the water demand. I was looking for a more efficient system.

Works great for short trips or occasional use. However, when used regularly, for example after several days of hiking, the life cycle of the filter is shorter than promised and the filtration becomes rather slow and heavy after only a few days. Tested with three different filter cartridges, mainly in the fairly clean waters of Lapland.

A very convenient way to purify water on hikes so you don’t have to play with water purification tablets. Worked flawlessly in Lapland in October. I bought for the bear tour, got good fresh water relatively quickly as needed I can't say about the durability of the filter after four days of use, it slowed down a bit already on that trip, the user's body weight is definitely affected, itself below 90. Did what he promised

If there is cyanobacteria in the water to be shaken, will the filter remove it. Many lakes in summer Finland have this problem.
