Sturdy, stays very well in place and closed in all kinds of pounding. This is a small one, but the bigger one wouldn't have fit in. However, it does its job very well as extra space on slightly longer day trips. The part that attaches to the saddle post is compact, so it takes up as little space as possible for a flexible trip (though I don’t recommend using it in an elevator post, especially if you’re going to have anything heavier to frost).
