Great waterproof boots, kept me completely dry and warm (in temps around -5C). I found them a little bulky on the top part, so when you bend your foot, the material digs into the upper foot.

Good quality boots and the fit was true to size.

These are the best BC boots I've ever had. Quality construction, light weight, good support and short break in period. They have really improved my skiing in more difficult terrain.

Sturdy and very breathable bc mono. The foot is wide enough for the average Finnish foot. In my experience, a mono can be one size larger than a normal size to have enough space. The downside comes from the warmth of the monos, not the tareta -20 and harder frosts. No good BC mono has been found since Salomon's X-Adv 6, if the criteria are that the mono fits well on the foot, is good for skiing and is warm.

Due to lack of snow this winter we have been unable to try the ski boots yet. We will be happy to comment later when we have tried them.

I’m really happy with this boot. I have a wide forefoot and the ball of foot and toe box allow good room so my feet stay warm. The heel can be a problem for some people, but that can usually be worked around with tape on the heel to block blisters. They are fairly high-volume - I have a low volume foot, so had to put in an extra insole to take up the volume. They are warm and waterproof. The leather is a good quality. I have used these on skis up to 84mm waist (Voile Objective BC, 178cm). Also use on Asnes Gamme, and Ingstad. They take some time to break in, but will form to the foot nicely. Good for XC and XCd.

In the hope that the leather surface material will withstand frost. At first two cross-country runs allowed me to make an intermediate tightening of the shoe but then in the wet they formed to fit the foot and now sit like socks. A good sturdy shoe and a soft upper against the ankle are comfortable and at the same time seal the upper to prevent snow from entering.

Ordered these to pair with my Fischer S-Bound 98s for kicking around un- groomed spaces with my children. Couldn’t ask for a better boot: good control when I need to get onto an edge, comfortable and flexible when I’m kicking through the flats, and they look great.

Delivery to Canada was very fast again - under a week. I rode the boots twice - they are wider in the front than I thought. But very tight on my ankles. Which is good for telemarking but I have big blisters on both legs now. All in all the boots seem looser than expected which is good for skiing distance but I still have to get used to it for downhill telemarking.

I’ve now worn these boots for 4 sessions of about 2 hours each, and in my opinion they are superb. Very comfortable and warm. I have barely even noticed them on my feet, which is a compliment for ski boots. I measured my feet and ordered a size 42 based on the Alfa website’s recommendation, and this was indeed the correct size, even though I normally wear size 43 shoes from other brands. I have also read other reviews saying to order a smaller size than you usually wear, and I agree.

Sizing is a problem with the Alfa Guard shoes. The seizing info on the ALFA website is not intuitive, and the shoes seems to differ in building dimensions. As one boot is smaller than the other (of the same size). In general the boots seems to be made for slim feet (not wide). However, other pair of boots of same size are mucht better fitting. Shoes are of extreme good quility. Comfortable, light and well build.
