You get a good grip on the handle and the ferrotick works effectively. The scraper iron is large enough and shaped to work in different ignition situations. One star leaves out a bit too large, although it brings with it better usability.

The Kupilka, bought for a teenager as an accessory for independent camping, works absolutely brilliantly. If you compare that to the basic income of supermarkets, the size and number of ignition sparks is like from another planet. Easy to hold, easy to scrape, makes beautiful sparks... train seriously and comfortably at home... my first try took me a good 3/4 hours, in the middle of a heat wave, so with that really dry stuff to burn!!! :) haven't tried again...I think the material is very good, and the user is not at all up to date:)

The first scratch didn’t produce a spark, but as the technology evolved, it sparked so captively. An incomparable game in lighting a gas burner. Suitable for handing.Notsk ignition still needs to be practiced, but if there is a dry lighter, then what not. Also works when the sticks are wet.

System for, with a little practice, to be able to easily light a fire. the spark is good, but again, you have to have been able to train properly before, have a good technique and probably bring another system to be able to light a fire just in case. the handling is pleasant, the scraper efficient. cool colors, elegant leather cord to unite the two elements.

The Kupilka Firesteel 8 is certainly not the most imposing firesteel. Nevertheless, as they say, it does the job and is, in my opinion, the perfect traveling companion for your bivouacs or other overnight stops. Finally, its roots and artisanal look brings a little retro touch to our equipment which is sometimes a little (too) futuristic. To recommend without hesitation!

Fits comfortably in the hand and the feel is easy to find. The only report is that scrap iron is perhaps a little too compact. Need to increase grip by putting a little leather cord to give a better grip. However, thanks to its small and light size and ribbon, the matchstick is sure to travel a lot on trips. This is hardly wasted on the bottom of the bag or in the pad.
