Once used in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park (last spring). The first downhill skis, so there is no comparison base, but they work excellently in the fells. The edges bite nicely, the glide was good and I managed on my own route without skins almost the whole way. There weren't many marks on the bottom, but when I looked more closely at the top, I noticed that there were notches and other marks. I don't think I hit them anywhere, so are they soft/sensitive material, or was the user at fault - hard to say. Anyway, here's a big recommendation, right? on skis!

A good ski for downhill skiing and also works for me as a hunting ski. Thinking about forest use, I chose a notch longer skis (185cm, when I'm 58kg/165cm). Skiing on the scale base is very smooth and the grip is sufficient for moderate climbs. You can climb the fells with holding hairs, but otherwise you can't ski with them. Counting is enjoyable, if a little soft on the hang surface.

Skis are amazing, very fast and not difficult. in most of the case it is impossible to go up without X-Skin.

This is a truly excellent allround, backcountry Nordic ski. I am 1.82 m tall, weigh 88 kg, and have the 205 cm waxless Ingstad. Asnes has designed in a superb ballance of camber, rocker, and waxless scales, to build a X/C ski, that leans more than a bit towards going down hills. For me, this means it kicks and glides well, returning on a two-skier trail, I find little difference between these, and my classic X/C Karhu's, but breaking trail, flotation, and turning, are way better, they track well, good enough for you to relax a bit, but still turn if you need to. In the rolling hills, and forests of BC, Canada, this means going down is fun, more "in control", than "this is exciting, but it is probably not going to end well", ya know what I mean. Asnes really hit the spot with their grip-scales, giving just enough for most normal skiing, responding well to different kick-wax combinations in difficult situations, and short x-skins on those do-or die sort of days.At those slush/crust, +5C to -5C, the wax has rubbed off, temperature is falling, end of a long day, just want to get back to the car, times, the scales have maintained more than enough kick to do the job. Thank you Asnes. So, thanks again Asnes, for a well designed, Quality product, made in Europe, that I will recommend, and yes, buy again, and again, they are worth it. Thanks to the people at Varuste, they are friendly, helpfull, have excellent products, and give service, service, service. They are the best. Now, I just have to decide if I really need (no) those 195 Ingstads, hmmm... they would maybe be just that much turnier in the woods........

Just received the skis, and been on them once so far. Very stable and light. The waxless base has decent grip on icy and crusty conditions that we have right now and imagine they would be even better with fresh snow. Even with our current poor conditions, they still handled well and looking forward to having them in more optimal conditions. Having the bindings pre-mounted was a great option as I skied them right out of the box after a quick wax. A classy looking ski, I am excited.
Very good! Works on an ordinary track almost as well as a traditional crumb ski. In addition to this, Telemark’s decline will be successful as long as the mono is sturdy enough. Even in a closed life, you don't miss your mother right away. However, in the swamp that reaches the eggs in the swamp in Kainuu, there is no solution that can still be used for sweat wicks. In military use, the traditional intin bandage also works more reliably if you don’t have to count. The Rottefella NNN bandage must be carefully maintained so that it is not filled with ice when the surprise start comes.
