My wife had already good experience with another smaller size Osprey equipment, and it fits perfectly to her. The Rook 65 is perfect for her as she need to carry 7 days equipment inside her bag. There is nothing included to hold her sticks, so she had to find an external way to carry them using external rubber bands.

What I liked is that this bag is very light - that was the main reason for my purchase. After a 6 hour hike with the bag full: I found this bag very functional, the essentials are there, the closure system is clever and practical, it does not present any hard points when carrying and it is the most breathable bag I've ever seen. I look for mimicry and find its green color a little showy, I would have preferred something more khaki, but it's okay.

The bag is awesome! Quality of Osprey is really good. But one observation to the Varuste.net - the packaging is very bad, they covered the bag with transparent film only one layer! I really don't know how this bag has arrived in normal condition, there were some holes in film. My advice to Varuste.net team is to pack normally the products. 5 star to the bag, 3 star to the service.

Based on one three-day trip, a great backpack. So the goods of a hammock for 3-5 days can fit inside.
Pretty good adjustment possibilities and the goods keep the inside of the backpack with the tensioning straps in place.
The only downside, in my opinion, is the rather small side pockets, which slightly reduce usability.

I bought a backpack for a trip abroad and it seems to be a really sturdy backpack. I’m not a special hobbyist, so I can’t comment on every shield, but a backpack that’s a good fit for a basic jam. I like that the backpack is sturdy and has a vent on the back. There is space and the backpack seems to be of high quality in all respects. Tightening straps can be found at every departure, which means that the backpack looks small if there is less stuff on the way.

I bought this backpack so I can carry the Packraft by the water.
Properly designed and light backpack. I don’t need any extra pockets and no straps, in that sense perfect. A "kangaroo" backpack can be added as needed.
Comes in light use, durability shows time.
The quality seems reasonable, the purchase decision was influenced by the low price. Use less than 5 times a year.

Clearly a bit "cheaper" backpack and designed for lighter loads. The back ventilation panel works really well and the traditional wet west formation on the back even in pretty hot weather. The lap belt pockets are not particularly practical and must not be removed when built-in.
The back support frame is a metal tube following the outer edge of the backpack with only one transverse support piece about 2/3 of the vertical height. As a result, if you put 3L of full water in the bladder pocket, it presses the back of the back of the backpack against the back of the fabric, impairing the ventilation function.
The price / quality ratio is a really good backpack, and is well suited as a second backpack for use on shorter trips in warm weather.

So far the bag is working great. The airspeed back is fantastic and gives some room to breathe. The hip and waist straps feel comfortable and give great support.

A few notes on the first backpack of my life after a couple of days of trial use:
-Seated on your own back well, and adjustment ok
-There are no closable small pockets in the backpack, a couple of small ones in the hip belt
-Back did not sweat thanks to the net coming against the back
-I put the tent on the backpack, which made it difficult to use the pocket in the box
-The backpack can also be opened from the bottom. The lower part accommodated a trang set, etc. with a small stutter
-With tensioning straps, the contents were well bundled and the backpack did not loosen

A basic good backpack. Pretty light. The back length adjustment works, and this way the backpack can be used more, or it can be conveniently borrowed from friends. There should be more pockets. The front attachment loops is a plus. You can even attach a day-lite or similar backpack to the backpack. Or you can even attach a big dry-pack or some other extra fly to the backpack.

A really good basic backpack for a lighter range. I would no longer go hiking in a warm weather without a back-ventilated backpack. The only thing the Rook is missing is a large front pocket like the one found in almost all other Osprey backpacks. I don’t understand why you left it out here.
