Big, sturdy knife, but still small enough to put in your pocket. Thanks to the M4 steel it's built like a tank yet thin enough to be slicey.

expensive knife, much heavier than the bugout but extremely strong steel. I prefer the bugout over this knife for weight savings.

by massive and terribly beautiful in her black-gray dress adorned with red! A fearsomely efficient bench, perfectly made, which inspires confidence and makes you want to go out and try it. I have a griptilian and a redoubt but it's mostly everywhere with the super Freek. Happy to own one today...

This might be my favorite Benchmade knife. It is big, sturdy and just badass. The two-color G10 has a great finish and the red inside looks great with the red anodized hardware. The action is great and the thumbstude are placed a bit more away from the handle, which makes this knife easier to manipulate with one hand then many other Benchmade knives. For it's size, the weight is very manageable. This is one of the most hard-use suitable Benchmade knives. It is not cheap, but I expect this knife to be indestructable. You would be able to hand this over to your children and they in turn can probably hand it over to their grandchildren. If you can't choose which Benchmade to buy, but you are looking for a reliable knife that you can use hard day in day out, this is the one to pick.

What would you say about this now? The blade is made of top-class material (M4), just the right/enough size for all kinds of pocket knife use, fits well in the hilt, and still looks stylish, and the price isn't too bad considering all these good features mentioned above (although of course it's not a cheap knife). The SuperFreek beats the Spyderco PM2 no matter what Spyderco puts on the blade, Cru-Wear, S110V, you name it. The only small minus is that the locking was quite stiff at the beginning, but the locking has worked itself in quite well with use and playing with it open/close. But some kind of contrast to the fact that the other Benchmades I've had have worked very smoothly in terms of locking right from the start.

Pluses + light +sturdy +good workmanship, quality product Cons -the blade of my own knife swings very little vertically, that is, it cannot be adjusted by tightening the screws. However, there is apparently an acceptable/noticeable defect in some Benchmade knives, which should not cause problems.

When you want a folding blade that does everything a full-length blade does, there’s no need to think about whether the lock will fail. The M4 steel has a v-shaped sharpen but stays on the steel for a long time and if you remember the occasional sling looks then the hairs will leave if there is a need for shaving in the field.
