Handy size and very efficient. Best under a wide-bottomed pan, where the flame spreads well. With a small container, the power goes to the magpies. Takes a lot of gas compared to Jetboil. The flame stays well even in windier weather. To boil water, the Jetboil Minimo is faster and more economical.

It’s okay, but the flame goes out if the legs drop down. Let’s drop down depending on weight. Or you have to put on a weird angle:

Good and light gas stove 83g and with a protective bag 100g. Good and even flame and good wind resistance even without a separate windshield. Others have criticized it as loud, but at least it hasn’t bothered me. Admittedly, the voice review seems to apply to PocketRocket 2. Pietzo ignition good and convenient. No need to smudge with sticks or lighters.

Very good (but expensive) screw bottle cooker. I already own this predecessor, the original Pocket Rocket (which still works well even though it is a dozen years old). Then why did I buy a new one? Deluxe withstands the wind better than the old one (smart boils away from the wind, although it doesn't always work completely), includes a piezo (laughs first for this, but it's only very convenient in the mood, for example) and a regulator (same as piezo, laughs first, but this is a really handy feature, especially when the gas bottle is pulling its last).
Then why not five stars? Two reasons:
1. Opening your legs, much more difficult than in Soto Amicus, for example (tried in practice), tired and hungry for a hike, can you twist and think about which direction to turn them?
2.) Fuel economy, here I go to the gram filing side: it’s a matter of a gram or two per 0.5 liters of water vs PR1, but you can decide how many canisters of gas you will take on a longer trip. Explained by the power of the cooker (otherwise it cooks really fast, and yet it is not quite impossible to burn gas).
If you are thinking between this and PR2, choose this. The "windshield" of the PR2 looks the same as the PR1, and isn't very fading. This burner withstands the wind much better.
Review update:
The kettle broke down during the hike in the FAQ park, the interior of the burner section came off the frame. This had to be due to a manufacturing defect, as I had taken good care of the kettle and had not dropped it, for example. I sent the cooker back and got a new one under warranty. The new chain has remained in one piece, but the incident reduced my credit for the intricacies of MSR, which I have hitherto considered to be of the highest quality. For longer trips, I will bring another cooker.

Great Little pocket stove. Piezo lighter has worked thus far every time. Works in windy conditions.

Quality produt again from MSR. Only used at home to boil some water to test out the device and its a solid product. Looking forward to taking it camping. Quite a big larger than the Pocket Rocket 2 but offers better pot stability and faster boil times (along with ability to simmer!)

During the summer come some experiences with the use of this. A really small space, well-packaged, light and high-quality cooker. The arms of the rack go well together and will probably not break easily, for example in a rucksack. In windy weather, this type of kettle is probably not at its best. Compared to Trangia, this requires a reasonably flat surface. With a smaller gas cylinder, you get a little more stability because the height is lower.

Firstly very speedy service , both with COVID and living out here in Australia . This canister stove by MSR is well built ( unlike a Jetboil which I got locally which broke in my hands unwrapping it ) . It is compact , intuitive and easy to use . Flame 🔥 is easy to control . A very functional stove .

Used this stove for 4 weeks nearly every day and we are so happy for it. With piezo we didn't have to wear lighter all the time. I really like the whole design and material looks really good. Will buy it again if I'll ever need :-)

The first experiences are positive: it packs small, the piezo works as it should and the power is enough for water treatment. There is not much experience with windy conditions yet, but cooking in a moderate wind under rock printing was quite exemplary without additional windshields.

After all, this is 3-4 times more expensive than the cheapest Chinese cookers that work just as well / fast. However, I feel the quality of the structure, the piezo and the gas regulator justify the price, at least in part. The leather storage bag feels nice, but I wouldn’t have resented a hard plastic case that would work in all conditions and withstand bumps. This bag is probably best kept inside the boiler safe from shocks.
The windshield and wider flame nozzle were unnecessary in my opinion and did not speed up the cooking time compared to other cookers.
