It's ok, at least for a shorter hike like this. In the user manual, there are small pictures and text, and the installation was finally done by familiarizing yourself with the product. The front strap tensioning is bad, I would invest a few tens of dollars in tightening it when choosing snowshoes.

TSL is a great general shoe and the price/quality is right. The shape of the shoe brings a natural step and saves the load on the hips. The spikes give enough grip under normal conditions. Adjustments are therefore easy and almost any footwear fits them. I have used many snowshoes, so I have accumulated a point of comparison. It is best suited here in the southern forests or on the stock, the size with the load is not necessarily enough in the powder, but the thing goes to push. A great purchase.

Varuste was the only one that had these snowshoes in stock and also for a reasonable price. Shipment from Finland to Holland was a few days so that was faster than expected. No snow here in our rainy country so no possibility to test them, but we used these exact same shoes in the past (rentals) and we loved them in the Finnish powder! We will be bringing them back this winter to Finland for our winter holiday. 4 snowshoes (2-pairs) fit into 1 suitcase (diagonally). Edit few years later (2023): still love these snowshoes! used them several times in the Finnish powder and hardpack fjelltops and never disappoints

Have tried the TSL 227XL in deep snow and different snow conditions for a total of about 25-30 hours, effective time. They work very well so far, in all respects (form material, mechanism, bindings). Most beneficial - compared to forest skis - in deep loose snow in hilly terrain. The reverse applies in spring snow with too weak a crust layer (surface crust). However, for a person around 80-85 kg + 10 kg of equipment, the carrying capacity would need to be a little larger. A model 1-2 cm wider and f f a 10 cm longer might be optimal in the snow conditions that prevail in Västerbotten's coastal region and inland forest terrain.

Now I have been able to test the TSL 227 XL snowshoes and they have been found to be surprisingly light and load-bearing (I weigh approx. 95 kg). It's easy to walk on snow, of course you should avoid slush, but they work even in that kind of snow. I'm very satisfied and now I'm leaving for the north for a few days so I can test there even in thicker snow. The steel spikes on the bottom hold very well on icy ground, so it doesn't matter if you end up on a section without snow, you don't have to take off your snowshoes because of it.

The previous similar TSL 227s are from 2005 and product development has not necessarily gone in the right direction in all respects. Tightening and loosening the front strap is difficult and the opening mechanism of the rear strap is too sensitive, the release latch easily hits the crotch and thus loosens without noticing. Carrying capacity and ease of walking as in the old ones.

Used them twice now. Very comfortable and easy to put on/take off. Maneuvering is also easy and I rarely step on the other snowshoe unless in the thick woods.

After one season, I haven't come up with anything to complain about. It was worth investing and buying decent shoes. I was able to summit fells in the spring with these. The M05 pattern is amazing, although you shouldn't leave the shoes hanging on the project, or you might not find them until spring.

These snow shoes look well constructed from quality materials. Look forward to using these when winter arrives here in Hokkaido.

Outstanding trail snowshoes with good attention to detail in the bindings, raised heel (ease of use). My only misadventure was with the colour scheme. I lost one shoe, for nearly an hour with the winter-camo finish. Love the bag & teeth coverings and how they really float well. I must say that the bindings adjustment feature is a real pleasure to work with/ rather than fight against.

The manual is a bit rudimentary, and when it includes all the models, I think the pictures can be tricky to figure out. The product itself is appropriate and easy to use, as long as you learn all the tricks despite the instructions for use. I had a "Monday" or "Friday" song when the bottom spikes were missing screws. Half had time to lose before I realized it. But varuste.net handled the complaint superbly and quickly, points to them for it!
Now only the knee is symptomatic, but when it is okay again, I don't go.

My wife and I bought snowshoes TSL 227 XL as well as 217 M. Delivery was very fast and smooth (2 days after ordering the package can already be picked up). A pair of shoes made 5 km of loops in the snowy forest terrain and the shoes worked great from the beginning. The bindings are not only easy to adjust, but also hold the shoes very firmly, making walking feel meaningful and safe. With these snowshoes, moving is even a pleasure. :)

Very good and functional snowshoes. Easy to move around the forest with the dog. I have been walking in the woods five times since my purchase, the longest run is over 5km. Propagation in dense seedlings is also easy compared to wild seedlings. The bandages also worked well and I have yet to find anything to blame. I can recommend the product to anyone considering buying snowshoes.

I bought the new TSL 810 to replace the new TSL 227 XL Snow Camot. I ended up in TSL snowshoes because of the good experience and durability. The old ones have been in use for over 15 years and are still working games. For the new TSL 227, I hoped for better load-bearing capacity and better adjustments to the bindings. My wish was fulfilled because the load capacity is really good and the size of the shoes is quite light. The adjustments in the straps are versatile and the back pump pump buckle is really good and functional. I chose the TSL Snow Camo M05 model and I think the coloring was really good. I recommend!

A high-quality snowshoe where I think the price / quality ratio is more than good.
The only downside is the tightening of the front link in my opinion a bit awkward, but this too can be solved by putting a little more money and buying a model with better tightening.
In summary, a great basic snowshoe at an affordable price

Easy adjustment for different size shoes, I can't say yet about the durability of the mechanism. The fastening mechanism works well, also the quick-fastening system of the head, which of course may have to be re-tightened a little at a time, depending on the shoes and the like. A step in the snow goes very well. For thick powder (+ 30cm) are not the best. Surprisingly agile also among the trees that fell in the forest. Lightweight to carry. Powerful spikes handle grip perfectly.

Light and strong, ideal shape to avoid over-abduction of the hips, I highly recommend. The binding system allows all adjustments to be perfectly adapted to the shoe. Crampons effective on ice and frozen snow. Nothing to say, very good product with excellent value for money!

Of the old TSL 217 Skylines that were over ten years old, the plastic bottom of the bandage was broken but given their hard use they lasted a long time and I was happy with them. Therefore, it was clear that I was getting the same brand. The most important factor influencing satisfaction is the bond. TSL's snowshoes have very convenient bindings, easy to tighten and open any shoe.

Great product, high quality. Very satisfied. In addition excellent service from Varuste. I ordered from France as the product is sold out everywhere here. Shipping and delivery have been very fast, I didn’t expect to receive it so fast. Great client experience !

Excellent product, even if I have not yet been able to test it, the materials seem to me of excellent quality, the bindings of simple adjustment quick to wear. The structure of the TSL 227 XL is very robust with the right degree of flexibility. Highly recommended product.

For those who are accustomed to supermarket shawls, it was as if they were walking in paradise, carrying capacity for their own body with their clothes and backpacks, so they didn't need "bottom-up" - snug ties, functional uphill platform, replaceable pins, durable construction - I recommend

Well, the only report I can give is about this company and shipping. We live in Michigan U.S.A., and pretty much everything is rotting right now including shipping times. I placed this order in early September, expecting that it would arrive in November. I was completely surprised when the snowshoes arrived at my front door only four days after I placed the order, which is fantastic. But, unfortunately it's still September and snow is still a long way off. I will follow this up after we've used them a few times. The company is excellent.

At Råmo Lodge, we have chosen TSL snowshoes for group / customer use. The slightly redesigned TSL 227 XL shoes came into heavy use right away. The shape and stoppers of the shoes, as well as the spikes are excellent. The buckle of the newer XL model is smaller than the previous model and more difficult to wear with outer gloves in hand.
